At Spice Islands Yacht Charter Banda Maluku, our commitment to the safety and security of our guests and crew is absolute and non-negotiable. As a division of the Juara Holding Group, we operate under a rigorous framework of corporate governance, maritime best practices, and full compliance with Indonesian and international regulations. Our clients can embark on their journey with the complete peace of mind that comes from knowing they are in the hands of seasoned, responsible professionals.

This page provides a transparent overview of our corporate standing, maritime safety protocols, and the regulatory certifications that underpin every aspect of our operations. For more on how we select our partners, please review Our Methodology.

Corporate & Regulatory Compliance

We believe in transparent and lawful operation as a cornerstone of trust. Our business is structured for full compliance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.

  • Legal Entity: We operate under a fully registered Indonesian Limited Liability Company (Perseroan Terbatas), ensuring legal accountability and stability.
  • Tourism Business License (TDUP): We hold a valid Tanda Daftar Usaha Pariwisata (Tourism Business Registration Certificate), issued by the Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy), authorizing us to conduct business as a premier tour and travel provider.
  • Taxpayer Identification (NPWP): Our company is registered with the Directorate General of Taxes and is fully compliant with all national and local tax obligations, reflecting our commitment to contributing to Indonesia’s economy.
  • Crew Welfare & Insurance (BPJS): We go beyond basic requirements by ensuring all our Indonesian crew members are registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (social security for employment) and BPJS Kesehatan (national health insurance), providing them and their families with a vital safety net.

Maritime & Operational Safety Standards

Our safety protocols are designed to meet and exceed official requirements for operating in the Indonesian archipelago.

  • Vessel Seaworthiness & Certification: Every yacht in our curated fleet is an Indonesian-flagged vessel and maintains a valid Surat Ukur (Certificate of Registry) and Gross Akte (Title of Ownership). Before every single departure, the vessel must obtain a Surat Persetujuan Berlayar (SPB), or Port Clearance, from the local Syahbandar (Harbormaster), which confirms the vessel is seaworthy, properly manned, and all documentation is in order.
  • SOLAS & GMDSS Compliance: Our vessels are equipped with safety equipment that adheres to the principles of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS). This includes certified life rafts, life jackets, EPIRBs (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons), and fire suppression systems. They are also fitted with Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) compliant communication technology.
  • Professional Crew Certification: Our captains and key officers hold nationally and internationally recognized certifications from the Directorate General of Sea Transportation, such as Ahli Nautika (Deck Officer) and Ahli Teknika (Engineer Officer). All crew members hold valid STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) basic safety training certificates.
  • Navigation & Communication Systems: Each vessel is equipped with redundant, modern navigation systems, including radar, multiple GPS units, depth sounders, and AIS (Automatic Identification System). For constant connectivity, even in remote areas, our yachts feature satellite telephones and data systems.

Emergency Preparedness & Response

We plan for every contingency to ensure we are prepared for any situation.

  • Emergency Action Plan (EAP): A comprehensive EAP is customized for every charter, outlining clear procedures for medical emergencies, severe weather events, and technical malfunctions. Regular drills are conducted with the crew.
  • Advanced Medical Support: Onboard medical kits are extensive and curated by medical professionals. Furthermore, we have a 24/7 support agreement with International SOS for on-call physician advice and, if necessary, the coordination of complex medical evacuations from remote locations to major medical centers.
  • Vessel Tracking: Our operations base can monitor the position of our yachts in near real-time, providing an additional layer of oversight and security throughout the voyage.

Our meticulous approach to safety and compliance is the invisible framework that supports every incredible moment of your Spice Islands yacht charter. It is our promise of professionalism and our ultimate commitment to our clients.
